Dear Colleagues,
The CSC-IT Center for Science staff will be visiting Turku on Thursday 17 August 13-16h for an HPC event and discussions. The idea is to gather HPC users in the city (across institutions and research areas) and discuss our computational needs, hardware, software and services, and how the CSC national infrastructure can boost our computational research, in addition to our own computing infrastructure. If your work requires any HPC resource for research or teaching, this event is for you. We welcome colleagues in computational research from computer science, statistics, mathematics, engineering, physics, chemistry, engineering, biology and any other area of applied computing to join.
WHEN: Thursday 17.8.2023, 13-16h
WHERE: UTU Agora building, Lecture Hall XX, Vesilinnantie 3
HOW: Register here before 15.8.2023: https://konsta.utu.fi/Default.aspx?tabid=88&tap=15985
We intend to showcase a small selection of diverse computational studies, so if you are interested in presenting a short (10-15min) talk about your work and how you use HPC, please email me directly before Sunday 13 August. After this, we will send out a detailed schedule to registered participants. Preliminary schedule is as follows:
13-14h Overview of CSC services, by Rasmus Kronberg (CSC-IT Center for Science)
14-15h Turku computational research talks (case study short presentations)
15-16h Q&A discussion on HPC needs and resource planning
All the best, Milica.
